Grupo Pistacyl, the largest pistachio producer in Castile and Leon, has taken another step in its commitment to innovation with the launch of three new products derived from this nut.
Thus, to the “Pistacyl Pistachio Paste”, the first made from this natural dried fruit, there are now three new formats that are also an innovation in the market: the “Natural Ground Pistachio”, the ”natural pistachio grain” and the “Pistachio and chocolate cream” without added sugar.
All of these products are made from 100% natural and unroasted pistachios, which avoids subjecting them to high temperatures that deteriorate the mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids of this nut. In addition, they do not have any type of preservative, coloring, oil or added sugar.
Likewise, its production process is carried out by crushing and grinding the shelled pistachio in several phases so that it does not suffer temperature changes that alter its natural qualities, flavor and nutritional properties.
Both the “grain” and the “ground” pistachio are ideal for the preparation of cakes and desserts in general, and also for the preparation of sauces and pasta, meat and fish dishes.
For its part, the pistachio and chocolate cream contains 56% natural pistachio and has no added sugars. It is aimed at direct consumption as a snack and also for the preparation of pastry products.
Grupo Pistacyl will begin the marketing of these products in March, which it presented to importers, professionals in the sector and potential business partners from the United Arab Emirates with whom they held meetings in Dubai from February 14 to 17.
These meetings were part of the mission organized by the European F2F Health Matters project to increase the internationalization of the food sector in the Arab market and, specifically, boost the presence of food SMEs in the United Arab Emirates.
Grupo Pistacyl is one of the three Spanish companies selected to participate in this initiative, with which it has had the opportunity to make important commercial chains in the country known about the qualities of the pistachio grown in Castile and Leon and the different products it produces from that dried fruit.
Along with the company from Valladolid, two other Spanish companies and several SMEs from Belgium, France, Slovakia and Portugal also participated in the project.
The participation of Grupo Pistacyl in this commercial action in the United Arab Emirates is part of its internationalization plan aimed at increasing the presence of its products in foreign markets, with the aim of exporting 50 percent of its pistachio production, mainly to Europe.
With this objective, the company has intensified its participation in some of the most prestigious international events in the field of agri-food and wine, such as Barcelona Wine Week (BWW), held from February 5 to 7, Wine Paris & VinExpo, which was held from 12 to 14 of February in the French capital, and Prowein 2024, which will be held from March 10 to 12 in the German town of Düsseldorf, where it will present its Desacato wine, which it makes with 100% Verdejo grapes under the Denomination of Origin Rueda.
