The family agri-food company Grupo Pistacyl has launched the 2021 vintage of its Desacato wine, a one hundred percent White Verdejo wine from the Rueda Denomination of Origin, which has a limited edition of 45,000 bottles.
The 2021 Rueda vintage has been described as “very good” by the regulatory council of this denomination of origin, which has highlighted the good structure of these Verdejos, with a high intensity on the palate and aromatic notes typical of this variety.
Desacato 2021 comes from the grape that the Pistacyl Group grows in its own vineyards in Pozal de Gallinas, a town in Valladolid located in the heart of the Rueda Denomination of Origin, where the Pérez Heras family, founders and owners of this business group, originate from.
Viticulture is part of the long agricultural tradition of this family, linked for more than two decades to the cultivation of the vine that today has 30 hectares of its own vineyards, in which it applies avant-garde cultivation methods with which it has been improving the production and quality of the grape.
In 2021, Grupo Pistacyl made the leap to making its own wine and launched its first vintage, which it began to market under the Desacato brand.
In addition to the traditional glass bottle, Desacato wine is presented in an innovative, completely recyclable bag-in-box design format, in line with the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Desacato is currently present in different catering establishments, supermarkets and shops in Andalusia, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Catalonia and Madrid, and has recently also entered the French market.
