As part of its internationalization process, the Pistacyl Group participated on the 5th of October in a commercial conference with some European importers with the aim of expanding the commercialization of its products in new foreign markets.
Nine importers from Poland, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, Panama and Switzerland took in this “reverse mission”, seeking to expand their quality Spanish product references, who have held various meetings with the Export Manager of the Pistacyl Group, Goran Dujkovic, in order to learn about the products produced by this company.
At the meetings, the importers were informed about the characteristics of the natural pistachio produced by this family business on several farms located in the Valladolid towns of Pozal de Gallinas, Moraleja de las Panaderas and Fresno el Viejo.
Similarly, they were able to learn about the qualities of some of the products that the Pistacyl Group makes from this dried fruit, such as pistachio oil and paste, with great applications in haute cuisine and confectionery.
They also tasted the Desacato wine produced by the Pistacyl Group with 100% Verdejo grapes under the Rueda Denomination of Origin, and whose quality has already been recognized with the Silver Medal at the 2022 Brussels World Contest.
With a plantation of 12,000 trees and an estimated production of 40,000 kilos for this harvest, Pistacyl began selling its pistachios in the Irish market in February and is currently also present in other countries such as France and Germany.
Its objective is to export 40 percent of its production, mainly to Europe, and also to Japan, where it has already established the first contacts.
Likewise, the group has also begun to market its Desacato wine in some foreign markets such as France.
This “reverse mission” is part of the Valladolid Consolida 2022 Program developed by the Innovation Agency of the Valladolid City Council, the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Valladolid and CEOE Valladolid to improve the competitiveness of Valladolid SMEs, with the focus always being on innovation.
