With a production limited to 45,000 bottles, Grupo Pistacyl has begun marketing the 2022 vintage of Desacato, a wine that this Valladolid-based family agri-food group produces under the Rueda Denomination of Origin.
This is the third vintage of this white wine made from 100% Verdejo grapes, and in its short history its quality has already been recognized with a Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles held in May 2022.
Desacato is a still wine, made through the natural alcoholic fermentation of the must of the white Verdejo grape that comes from the vineyards that Grupo Pistacyl owns in the Valladolid towns of Fresno el Viejo and Pozal de Gallinas, the latter town where the family Pérez Heras originates, founder and owner of this family business.
Unlike the previous ones, the new Desacato vintage is presented in a moss-colored glass bottle, which gives the wine greater protection against light, thus preserving all its qualities, and also with a new label design, which, along its characteristic black background, will also have a version with a white background for sale in retail establishments.
With a long winemaking tradition, Grupo Pistacyl has 30 hectares of its own vineyards, in which it applies cutting-edge cultivation methods with which it has been improving the production and quality of the grapes.
In 2021, the group made the leap to making its own wine and launched the 2020 vintage, the first to be marketed under the Desacato brand.
Desacato is currently present in different catering establishments, supermarkets and stores in Andalusia, Cantabria, Castile and Leon, Huesca, Catalonia and Madrid, as well as in the French market.
It is also available in the Tierra de Sabor market place, a quality guarantee brand in which the group is integrated, which has also obtained the protection of the Alimentos de Valladolid stamp.
