The pistachio from Castilla y León has aroused great interest among those attending the 36th edition of the Salón Gourmets, which has been held from April 17th to 20th at IFEMA Madrid, and where it has been presented by Grupo Pistacyl, the largest producer of this nut in the region.
With a stand at the event, where it has exhibited under the protection of the Tierra de Sabor brand, Grupo Pistacyl has shown visitors the characteristics of the pistachio grown in Castile and Leon, which stands out for its high quality and that this family business from Valladolid sells natural, without any type of roasting, salt or any other element that alters its nutritional properties.
It has also made known, to the professionals who have attended the show, its latest innovation made from this dried fruit, the “Pistacyl Pistachio Paste”, made without adding any type of preservative, colouring, oil or sugar from natural pistachio without roasting, thus avoiding subjecting the product to high temperatures that deteriorate the mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids of the pistachio.
Both products have been very well received at this event, the number one quality Food and Beverage Fair in Europe, where they have also starred in two events held during its celebration.
The “Pistacyl pistachio paste” was part of the first Tierra de Sabor Experience show cooking organized by this guarantee brand with products that have this quality seal, and in which the head chef of El Mesón de Gonzalo, Jesús Colorado , prepared a creamy pistachio with coffee jelly and caramelized sesame.
Pistacyl pistachio was one of the products present at the workshop presentation organized by Alimentos de Valladolid with chef Alvar Hinojal from the Alquimia restaurant in the capital of Valladolid, which ended with a presentation by Inés Hernández, pastry chef from the El Bombón confectionery, from the sweet Merceditas, which won the Dulcería 2023 contest and is made with this product.
Grupo Pistacyl has also taken advantage of its presence at Salón Gourmets to present the third vintage of Desacato, the white wine that this family agri-food company produces under the protection of the Denomination of Origin of Rueda.
With a production limited to 45,000 bottles, this wine is made with 100% Verdejo grapes from the vineyards that Grupo Pistacyl has in Valladolid, and in its short history its quality has already been recognized with a Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles held in May 2022.
The new vintage of Desacato is presented in a moss-colored glass bottle, which gives the wine greater protection against light, and also with a new label design, which, in addition to its characteristic black background, will also have a version with a white background for distribution in commercial establishments.
