Since 2007, World Pistachio Day is celebrated every February 26th a commemoration with which we want to value the excellent nutritional properties of this thousand-year-old dry fruit.
Of Asian origin, the pistachio is a food with many properties and benefits for health, since it is rich in vitamins, vegetable proteins, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium.
It has a high content of unsaturated fats, especially monounsaturated, which help reduce total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol (popularly known as bad cholesterol) and triglycerides, as well as blood pressure.
In addition, it helps to control weight since it is the dry fruit that contains the fewest calories and also has a satiating effect.
In this way, the pistachio has become a great ally for a healthy and balanced diet, something to which at Pistacyl we want to contribute by offering our pistachio in its natural state, without any kind of roasting, salt or other additives, which allows us to preserve and enhance all its qualities.
For all this, both on February 26 and every day of the year, Happy Pistachio Day!
