Continuing its commitment to the internationalization of its products, Grupo Pistacyl has been present once again at ProWein 2026, the world’s leading wine and spirits trade fair, which has been held from 15th until 17th march in Düsseldorf, Germany, where it has presented the new 2025 vintage of its award-winning Desacato Verdejo wine.
Grupo Pistacyl has attended this event in partnership with ISC Wines, which has participated in the fair under the official Castilla y León pavilion. There, they have shown the qualities of the new Desacato Verdejo 2025 to thousands of professional visitors. This wine has already been recognized with a Silver Medal at the prestigious Mundus Vini-Grand International Wine Award 2026.
Desacato Verdejo 2025 is made with grapes of this variety from vineyards owned by Grupo Pistacyl in the Valladolid towns of Fresno el Viejo and Pozal de Gallinas, the birthplace of this family-run agri-food company.
It is a young and vibrant wine that captures the essence of the Verdejo variety. With a fresh and fruity aroma, its clear and bright color reflects the purity of its terroir. Its natural alcoholic fermentation on lees allows it to preserve all the intensity and personality of the Rueda Designation of Origin.
All of this makes Desacato Verdejo stand out for its clarity and visual appeal, as well as the intensity and purity of its aroma and flavor, as highlighted by the Mundus Vini competition jury in their decision to award it the silver medal. This is the second accolade for Desacato Verdejo, following the silver medal it received at the 2021 Brussels World Competition.
In addition to Desacato Verdejo aged on its lees, Grupo Pistacyl has also been producing Desacato Sauvignon Blanc since last year. Both wines are available in various restaurants, supermarkets, and shops throughout Spain and have also been gaining traction in international markets such as France, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
